DEK-Guard™ provides a quick curing, long-lasting, durable surface that protects substrates and stands the test of time. PU/MMA-based chemistry allows the system to cure in one hour at a wide variety of temperatures (-15°F to 90°F). DEK-Guard’s flexibility allows movement within the surface while preventing cracking.

Outdoor coatings that Cure in 1 Hour, even at Low Temperatures
Yes, we really have a coating system that cures in as little as 1 hour! Polyurethane modified methyl-methacrylate (PU/MMA) acrylic resins offer this and other outstanding benefits for virtually any application, no matter how large or small. Once installed, a DEK-Guard™ acrylic coating system resists deterioration, spans concrete cracking and joints, withstands temperature fluctuations, and is UV stable.
DEK-Guard™ is ready for full traffic one hour after the last coat, saving operational downtime. Application can even be done in colder temperatures down to -15°F using our low temperature formula.
Superior Elongation Properties: Concrete that has movement or vibration needs a flexible membrane to prevent cracking. DEK-650 Flexible Membrane achieves 450% elongation as performed by ASTM D638.
Easy to Repair: Repairs are simple and can be completed quickly thanks to the 1-hour cure. Since the product “melts” into itself through a chemical reaction, the original system integrity is maintained.
100% Solid, Non-porous, Seamless Finish: Moisture can ruin concrete. With DEK-Guard, liquids and most pollutants do not penetrate the coating, leaving a smooth, durable, easily cleanable surface.
Chemical Resistant: Resistant to a wide variety of chemicals, automotive fluids, salt and other aggressors. Please ask us about any specific concerns.
Worth the Investment: Parking decks are subject to so many chemical aggressors, it’s important to have a coating that can withstand oils, salts, and other automotive fluids without breaking down. With a DEK-Guard™ system, you can be assured your coating will last a long time and pay for itself several times over.
Layered System: Each system consists of a primer, flexible membrane, self-leveling body, and topcoat, with additional resins available based on your needs. Architectural and slip resistant finishes add aesthetic and functional features as well.
VOC Compliant in all US States: Once fully cured, a DEK-Guard™ system forms a 100% solid. No unreacted product remains.
Bond Test: Proper surface preparation is determined prior to system installation via a bond test. Patties are formed from a mixture of Res-Tek primer and sand, then placed in strategic locations throughout the prepared substrate. One hour later the patties are removed with a hammer and chisel.
The underside of each patty should have concrete attached confirming sufficient surface preparation. This simple test ensures a permanently bonded coating that will not delaminate.
